2. NEW E-EAST AFRICAN INTERNATIONAL PASSPORTS
-Explanation as to the difference: The existing (old machine readable passport) and the new e-East African International Passport – presence of an electronic chip - Applicants will not be compelled to physically be in Kampala for the bio-metric data to be captured.
-The Applicant’s bio-data will be extracted from their duly filled passport application form G.
-The Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control however advised that ALL applicants for the new International East African e-passports should NOW use form G because it captures more bio-data as compared to forms A & B
-The new form G can be accessed through this website: https://www.immigration.go.ug/downloads/passports-application-forms or please click here to download the form.
-The role of the Embassy in issuance of the new e-passport for the interim phase is limited to forwarding the application forms as we do not have the tools and equipment to capture the applicant’s bio-metrics.
-A second phase is anticipated in the future when the service will have been rolled out to the Missions. At that stage, applicants will be required to appear in person only for purposes of capturing the bio-metric data. The application process will continue to be online.

d1) Record of No Marriage from the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) Affidavit from lawyer/Statutory d2) Declaration notarized by a public notary indicating single status
d3) Letter from Local Council (LC1) signed by the Chairman and/or Letter of Parent’s Consent indicating singleness
